Vote for Your Future
02-11 May, 2019 in Marabu Camp, Milcoveni, Romania
Α major project aimed to increasing the level of involvement and participation of young people in decision-making at local, national and European level.
Starting from this idea, 50 young people from 5 European countries, including Romania, will arrive in summer for 7 days in Caraş-Severin, in the Marabu camp in the village of Milcoveni.
With the desire to reach as many young people as possible, the project will involve several stages. First of all, before the young people arrive in Romania, two focus groups will be organized in which they will learn the problems of their communities and countries, informations that they will present afterwards in the project activities.

Hey there, I am Raphaela , a 23-year-old student from Greece.
From the 2nd to 11th of May I was lucky enough to participate with our organization Praxis in a youth exchange in the Romanian countryside and more specifically in Milcoveni.
This exchange was organized by Asociatia Nevo Parudimos, an association that mostly focuses on Roma minority intergration issues. Our project’s topic was European elections and we had participants from 5 different countries: Estonia, The Netherlands, Romania, Spain and Greece.
During these days we had many fun activities like breaking ice and getting to know each other games, in order to feel more comfortable with each other. But most importantly through interactive activities and workshops we had the opportunity to become better informed about 2019’s European elections: How are the Members of European parliament elected, what do they actually do, what is the difference in this year’s elections, why our vote is of significant importance, were some of our questions that were clarified through this project.
The highlight of the programme was our participation in an event that was organized by Eftimie Murgu Resite university in Oravita, in which we presented various activities and games, that we had prepared for the European Union’s day.
We left Romania with a heart full of experiences, knowledge and friends from all over the Europe that become our second family. Exchanges like this are an opportunity that every young person should have. So… don’t waste your time apply as soon as possible to the first Erasmus+ programme of your interests that you find!
