YOUTHPASS PLUS TC in SLOVAKIA
What is it that unites Patrik from Slovakia with Niki from Greece and Ioana from Romania? All three work with young people. The European Programme Erasmus + Youth gave them the opportunity to meet in Cyprus with 25 more youth workers from 9 countries in the training course YOUTHPASS PLUS. The training has been hosted by the organisation SEAL CYPRUS between 07 and 15 March in Larnaca.
The theme of the training course was the validation of non-formal learning. The youth workers have worked on the following topics:
Utilizing the YOUTHPASS certificate under the revised European Framework of Key Competences for Lifelong Learning.
Understanding the key-competences and what they represent for the individuals.
Promotion of the European Programme Erasmus+ and the YOUTHPASS certificate.
The participants represented Cyprus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Lithuania, Romania and Slovakia. The delegates from Italy did not participate due to precautionary measures against COVID-19.
Our organisation, Praxis, has been represented by three youth workers.
The delegates had the chance to visit the Pierides Museum, where they had the honour of being enlightened by the Director, Mr Peter Ashdjian, with information regarding the museum’s comprehensive collection that was assembled by the Pierides family and includes some of the most representative items of the civilisation of Cyprus.
The project was supported by the European Programme Erasmus+: Youth in Action.
