“CATCH” in Czech Republic

“CATCH” training course Erasmus+ in Velke Mezirici, Czech Republic on 3rd of May 2024

“CATCH” is an international training course Erasmus+ program that took place in Velke
Mezirici, Czech Republic on 3rd of May 2024.
It was the starting point of a 2 years E+ journey that focused on Coaching.
Basically, the first TC of the other two that will follow.
For one week, 20 participants for Greece, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Estonia, and Italy
we were called to learn and practice methods and tools related to the topic. In my point of
view, was a difficult but unique project at the same time.
Being a “coach” to someone needs to give the 100% of yourself to your client. The right
questions, active listening, rapport, goals setting and other coaching techniques were our
main objects.
In addition, we had the best trainers, coaches, psychologist etc. that we could have!
Overall, this experience was full challenging for me, a new chapter in my life just started.
See soon in the next training course in Italy, Ciao!

Imagine being able to empower young individuals to discover their strengths, set meaningful goals and overcome obstacles with confidence.
Seems far-fetched, right? Well, that was my thought too when I first heard about this CATCH initiative, but I was proven wrong.
During my time spent in the training course in Czech Republic, not only did I learn methods
and tools important for adopting a coaching mindset, but also how to best utilize and
personalize them, tailoring them according to the unique aspirations and circumstances of
each individual I worked with.
I was given the opportunity to see and experience both ‘sides of the coin’, being a client and a coach, thus enhancing my knowledge and understanding of the project.
So yes, I was part of this “revolution” and will continue to be, until I unleash the full potential
of youth work through the coaching process.
You better be prepared, because there’s plenty more to come!

The CATCH program is a a project that helps you become a coach. It involves intensive
training, practice, supervision, and webinars. Being a part of this project was a great
experience because we got to get to know each other better but also, we got to know
ourselves better. In order to become a coach, you need to be able to coach yourself first.
It was in a beautiful village among the mountains, near a river, which made our short
journey there even better.
I was able to obtain precious knowledge during the trip that I will definitely use in my later
life. Being a coach wasn’t something that I was planning to do but this project gave me some clarity in what I want for my life and for myself.
