Hello everyone! I’m Laura and I’m from Madrid, Spain. I’m 23 years old, graduated in pharmacy by the Hi! Μy name is Marcel. I am German and Brazilian and I was born in Portugal. My upbringing in an international family has raised my interest in international relations, it gave me a deeper understanding of cultural diversity and feeling as a European citizen. When I finished my Psychology degree I went to work for a year in Munich but I realised I wanted to provide meaningful change in a broad level. That is why Ι joined PRAXIS. Because I really liked its work and I believed I could use my capacities to help it bring its plans into action and have a positive impact raising awareness about various issues. Βesides gaining experience related to communication and media and growing myself professionally, my main goals are involving myself with the Greek culture and to learn Greek. I am sure this will be an amazing experience and I will try to get the most out of it! Hi ! My Name is Zoé, I am 18 years old and I come from France. I’m here for 3 months because next year I want to go to a Communication school. With this experience I want to know how to write an article, use social media, and make broadcasts... I’m excited to learn new things during this project, like speak English, get competences in Social Media, know myself better, have more Independence, discover this country… Hi everyone! I’m Célia and I come from France, I’m 20 years old and I’m here because I'm taking my gap year during my studies of political sciences. I’m not sure at all about what I want to do in the future, except a worldwide tour. The thing that I know is that I’m here in Serres for one year to make myself useful to the community and obviously discover Greece and its people who seem very very nice. More than that, I love to meet new people, travel, discover new things and I also like to read, or do some sport. A thing I have to add is that for me being open minded is something very important to better understand the world we live in, to fight against homophobia, sexism, racism, climate change and a lot of other inequalities! Hello everybody! I’m Giuseppe, I’m 27 years old, and I’m from Italy. I come from a small town in the mountains called San Vito di Cadore, located in the north east of the country, not far away from the border with Austria. Last November I graduated in Political Sciences, international relations and human rights, and I’m interested in journalism generally. I’m really passionate about photography and I would like to work as a photojournalist. I’ve been practising photography since I was 20, and I did courses and workshops all along these years. It’s something I really enjoy, and I would like to be able to raise awareness and tell stories thanks to this medium. I like writing too, so I would like to mix photography and writing to be able to create my own reportages. It’s not an easy world, and the ways to get in are actually various. I’ll do my best. Hello everibody ! My name is Marija I’m 25 years old,and I’m originally from Lithuania. I have a Bachelor in European Literature and Culture as well as Master in Social Communication. I chose to come volunteer at Praxis because I’ve been meaning to do a European Solidarity Corps volunteering in the past couple of years and finally, after a bit of delay due to personal and covid-related reasons I have decided to finally go for it. I am really excited to spend the three upcoming summer months in Serres and meet like-minded people as well as pick up new skills which will be of great use to me in the future on a more professional level. Kindly, Marija Hello ! I am Pierre, I’m 22 years old, I come from France. I was born and raised in Paris but since a couple of years, I study political sciences in Bordeaux and now, I’m finishing my master in European Affairs. I chose to become a volunteer because I find experiences abroad very enriching and that it makes you grow up. I did an Erasmus in Germany two years ago, and I loved this experience, now I want to discover Greece and meet local people! I hope that I will be useful to this project and to the community of Serres and I am sure that this experience will be unique! Hi guys! I am Afonso, the newest praxis volunteer I am 18 and I come from Porto in Portugal although my dad was born in Angola and my mom in France I finished high school this year and I intend to study marine biology in the future but I decided to take a year off and ingress in a ESC project to further develop myself in areas that school and university doesn't address. I'll be staying here until June and I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of new people and making the most of this experience. Bye for now Hello everyone! I’m Joan, I’m 20 years old and I’m from Italy. At the moment I’m taking a gap year in order to make new experiences, meet new people, know their values and opinions and last but not least grow as a person. I’ll be staying at Praxis for 5 months. I chose this project because it brings awareness to various issues through different types of means (broadcast, article, video, social media posts and so on) and it demands you to be creative, to put thoughts into actions and gives you the opportunity to learn a lot in term of cultural aspects and on a personal level. It’s the first time that I get to live in another country, far from my family. I’m not gonna lie, it’s a little bit intimidating but I do think that it’s a process that we have to face at some point in our life , we can’t always stay in our comfort zone! I’m looking forward to learn a lot, meet a lot of people and eat a lot of different food! Hi everyone! My name is Andrei. I’m came from Romania, I’m 26 years old and I’m here because I want to do as many activities for myself as possible to become an experienced person. I am very passionate about cybersecurity and networking, but I want to be better in several areas. I decided to join Praxis in Greece and I sure that will be amazing experience. I want to discover Greece and meet people who is better me. I hope my impact in this volunteer will be useful for community. Of course, I like to travel if it is possible I would like to travel all day and all night city after city and country after country. I recommend everyone to apply for volunteering because it is an unforgettable experience. And especially for me it is a good opportunity to improve my English. If I took my time back, I wouldn't change anything!!! Hello everyone, My name is Maxime, I am 21 years old and I come from Lyon, France. I graduated this year with a degree in Information and Communication. I joined Praxis to make myself useful to the local community, to meet new people from all over the world and to live an interesting human and professional experience in the beautiful environment of Greece. In the future, I would like to work in the management of cultural institutions or in culture in general, although I don't know yet where or in which environment precisely, because of my interest in theater, dance and art in general. Beyond that, I love to meet new people, to live new experiences or to defend causes that are close to my heart such as the fight against inequalities or the fight against discriminations. Hi guys, My Name is Nikol, I am 18 years old and from Cologne. I live in Germany but my parents are from Bulgaria. I graduated high school this year and decided to do a Gap Year. So here I am! Later I am planning to study something related to medias, so I take this ESC as a great opportunity to get to know myself better and at the same time to gain experience in journalism. Hi everyone! My name is Iria and I'm from Valladolid, Spain. I have a degree in Journalism and I have a Master degree of Teaching Social Science... So now I am a teacher of History and Geography! I love listening to indie music, reading books - all the topics, all the genders but more history and thrillers - and, of course, I love travelling around the world. I have lived in Ireland, Poland, Australia.... and now Greece! I'm so excited with this new adventure and I hope to continue growing and learning from life! And to ending I am feminist, antirracist and vegetarian. I´m Maria, I’m 19 soon-to-turn-20, a virgo and I’m from Malaga, Andalucia, Spain. This is my first time in Greece and I love everything I’ve seen so far in Serres (especially the eggplants rolls with philadelphia inside from ΜΠΑΚΑΛΙΚΟ!!!!) AND EXCEPT FOR THE HOT WEATHER (I´ve never showered that many times per day!!!!!!!!!!) I’m studying nursing, which is very important to me. At first I didn’t want to study that but when I started doing practical training at the hospital I created a lot of meaningful connections with people and I fell in love with the job. I love traveling and sleeping, specifically, taking naps. Also I like to read (even if I dont do it as much as I want to), to have deep conversations and to really know people. Also I’m a vegetarian! Hey everyone! I'm Karolin and I'm from Estonia. In September 2020 I decided to move to Greece and take part in ESC voluntary service in Praxis. Hello, my name is Felix and I am from Germany. For me the voluntary service was a chance to develop myself as much as to help people and the society to develop. Furthermore it gives me the chance to prepare myself for working life and for studies which I will start this summer after the end of the mobility period. The reason why I choose this project was because it specifically demands various of skills from us like self initiative, organizing and communicating. I am glad to be here. Hi I'm Bjarne from cologne and I am doing my EVS here in Serres. I'm always full of energy and enthusiasm. Hola! I am Diana from Spain. I am teacher of children and I am also studying social education now. I like to help people and I wanted to be volunteer for many years, that´s why I am here in Serres 🙂 I enjoy a lot to be in company of good people and I love running and to improve myself everyday! Hello! My name is Ramón and I´m from Málaga, a city in the south of Spain. I'm 22 years old and I´ve just finished my degree of journalism at University of Málaga. I decided to join the European Solidarity Corps in Serres because this experience can provide me with a lot of knowledge about communication and I can also improve my level of english with my mates. It is the first time that I travel alone in another country for a long time. Now, I will be in Greece for 6 months and I'm excited to explore the country and to learn a lot of things during this project. Hi!! My name is Julia and I'm theatre director (at least, my degree sais that). I really love Greece since I came for doing erasmus, and a project involving radio, arts, learning, helping... All in this country, was just made for me! I think coming here has been one of my best choices ever. Ευχαριστώ Ελλάδα! P.s: Shrek is the best movie of the century Hello everybody!! I´m Ana, from Spain. I´m 22 years old and I´ve been volunteering in Praxis for two months. I considered myself as a joyful active girl. Since I love languages, I´m studying French Translation and Interpreting at the University of Granada, my hometown. In my free time, I like reading, running and, of course, traveling. I do believe that each of us can do something to improve our society, and, for me, joining praxis Greece is the best way to be the change I want to see in the world. Hiiiii. I am Jesús from Malaga in Spain. I'm studying photography, I love movies and watching anime. I'm volunteering at Serres with Praxis and I like the idea of helping refugees and the experience in radio is amazing. I lived in Cologne for the last 7 years, where I studied law with a specialisation in human rights. For the next months, I will be in Serres. As far as the pandemic allows, I hope to travel more and see the center and south of Greece, as well. I enjoy practicing Yoga, doing pottery, putting together playlists, going for hikes and running. Ultimately I want to move to Berlin, but where I will end up and what I will do in the meantime, I don’t know. I’m learning to take things as they come. Hi! I am Melissa and I am from Cologne in Germany. I just finished school and decided to do an EVS before I start to study. I chose this project because I want to gain experiences, see new parts of the world, meet and also help people. I am interested in science, engineering and music and I am excited to explore Greece and to be here in Serres. Ahoi! My name is Paul. I was born in Cologne, Germany in September of 2001, a few days after the 09/11 catastrophe. I finished school in 2019. Hey, I'm Julia, 18 years old and from Cologne in Germany. I just graduated from highschool and am staying here for the next months before I will start my studies because I am interested in journalism and politics. I hope to create an impact by volunteering here. Furthermore I want to gain independence, get to know new people and an new country. Hello! My name is Yeray, nice to meet you! I'm 22 years old and I'm from Málaga, Spain. I love my region, Andalusia, and especially my city, it's great to have the mountains and the beach so close and enjoy good weather all the time. I have always wanted to travel and live in Greece because I love its culture and I am a big fan of the Eurovision Song Contest! I have lived three months in Poland and it was the best experience of my life, from that moment I fell in love with the Slavic culture. It is important to mention that I love music, I think that in music we can find all those emotions that we don't know how to express with words. Hi everybody! My name is Valeria, I am 21 years old and I come from Palermo, Italy. I am a student of Political Science and International Relations passionated about geopolitics, human rights, history, and everything concerning the world we live in! Despite the fact that I love my Sicily, I always look for opportunities to travel the world. I have already lived in Czech Republic for 5 months, and this experience made me realize how much you can learn from discovering new places and meeting new people. In my opinion, travelling is the best antidote to ignorance in all its manifestations: racism, homophobia, machismo, xenophobia and so on. Well, from this small text, I guess you can understand by yourself the reason why I joined Praxis! What else? I am a Millennial in love with boomer music, reader, and deep conversations and true relations lover! Hi I'm Chloé, I'm French and I study International Relations in Paris. For the summer, I wanted to gain experience at a professional level like communication or leadership skills, but also at a personal level. I decided to get involved in ESC because I could gain this experience while helping others. Also, sharing an apartment with volunteers from different cultures in a foreign country is very unique and enriching. I am Margarita Keerd from Estonia. I love languages, so far I know 4 and I intend to learn at least 4 more. I am fascinated with meeting people from diverse ethnical backgrounds. It is hard for me to stay in a ruitine for a long time, and in school I felt like I was sort of in a cage. For these 2 reasons I love Erasmus+ and have participated in many of their projects- it gives you a chance to broaden your horizon in an informal way, while working with people from different cultures I'm Lucila Piedra from Spain. I live in a town in the outskirts of Madrid. I am an enthusiastic, college graduate in journalism and photography. I am currently a volunteer in Praxis because I am interested in many social issues such as immigration, poverty, hunger, human rights, and women's rights. We have always been said that travel trains youth, that’s true, my name is Jordy from France and I will tell you my story. I was lost, and I didn't know where shall I work and especially in which sector. At the age of 25 I was in a constant search of who I'm and with a huge lack of self confidence. I chosen the EVS to fight my fears, affirm myself, and working in an organisation with whitch I'm familiar, the media.Laura Solana

Complutense University of Madrid. I decided to join Praxis because I’ve always wanted to volunteer for a long-term period, and I felt like right now was the best moment to do it before I continued with my career.
I love Greece and the work Praxis does so it was the perfect opportunity!
I consider myself a creative, hard-working, enthusiastic, and proactive person, and I’m
interested in very different fields like art, science, social innovation, cultures and nature.
I think I would learn many things during my stay in Praxis, but my main goals are to improve my soft skills and learn Greek. I am sure it is going to be an enriching experience in many ways and I’m willing to get the most out of every opportunity we are given.Marcel Gutenberger

I chose this project, because I wanted to challenge myself in a new environment and to gain more knowledge and experience in various aspects as well as to support the local community.
