TC in Czech Republic_pax edition

The 21st century program for me was a special opportunity to better understand and deepen the concepts of coaching, guidance, and psychology with a more social and humanitarian perspective, with the ultimate goal of helping young adults and people of the LGBTQI+ community. I think it was an immensely challenging program since we had the chance to come into contact with various techniques of coaching and learn the essence of them through ourselves with a more experiential view. Leaving the Czech Republic, we are fully equipped to offer coaching as for self-awareness and, in addition, access to contentment and happiness through the clarification of personal goals and the deepest personal dreams that each person has within their soul.

The training in the Czech Republic was a week full of discoveries and surprises. Through this project, I explored the dynamics of coaching while working daily with the trainers and other participants in a happy, creative, and full of beautiful moments environment! There were a lot of challenges, but we overcame them. It was a very interesting project, and I am so glad that I am a member of it because I had the opportunity to discover more about the world of coaching and its possibilities. One of the most interesting things I could work on, was coaching competences and practice various coaching techniques.

This project was a big challenge for me! It was a risk for me to join because my experience in this field wasn’t that big, but my motivation was enough bigger so as to finally take this decision. I have never felt more benefitted from my participation in a project than this time. Through the different sessions of the program, I learned more about coaching techniques and ways I can use them. I also practiced a lot in coaching by having clients with very different backgrounds in a very safe space, and I saw in a deeper level the power of questions and the results that they can bring. It was one of the most challenging projects I have ever done. However, the presence and the professionalism of the trainers had determining meaning in the development of the whole training and in the final outcome of it. I feel blessed that I am a part of this project, and I can learn more and practice coaching with the guidance of these coaches.

Hey, I am Anastasia Lioliou, one of the fourth participants from the Greek team that decided to start this journey of ‘Coaching’… but let’s take things from the beginning. When I was informed about this project from my Mentor I was really impressed and I wanted directly to be in it but at the same time I was anxious and with a second thought I never believed that they can choose me for this project because of my professional background (I study interior architecture). The organization supported me to participate and I followed all the procedures that were required. I still remember the day of learning the news and calling my friends and realizing that we are going to be on the same project and on this journey of two years together.

On the 30rd of January we arrived at our hotel where the project would take place in a really calm and unique city which is Velké Meziříčí. This night we had dinner all the participants together and then we did one activity so we can have a dialogue between us and get to know each other better through this activity.

The upcoming days were challenging for me and I was feeling all the time that I was out of my comfort zone. The things we were learning and the way the facilitators passed them to all the participants was interesting for me to observe.

The days passed really fast but the personalities inside the project were revealed from the first day. It was really interesting to experience the dynamic of the people and how much the people started to bloom and show their weaknesses, their beliefs, the way of how they think and all the experiences which they brought with them. All those things were happening at the same time and in a way which I haven’t experienced before. I believe that this project was really intense for all of us and I can say for sure that the sauna of the hotel helped us to calm ourselves and get relaxed.

From this training, I came back to Greece feeling fascinated with this new world that opened up to me in front of my eyes. Now, I feel ready to take action and slowly slowly make a small impact with what I have learned from this project.

Thanks for reading my text, see you in the next level of this project!

Anastasia
