Online training

As part of the Erasmus+ KA2 project titled “All on Board – Youth Engagement Strategies in Youth Work,” an online training session was successfully organized at the end of April, involving participation from all partner countries: Spain, Greece, Italy, Romania, and Bulgaria. This collaborative effort aimed to foster dialogue around non-formal education methodologies, facilitate the exchange of good practices among young people and youth organizations, and share practical tips and strategies for effective youth engagement.
The online training served as an integral component of the broader project framework, designed to enhance the capacities of youth workers and provide meaningful learning experiences for young people across Europe. The event brought together a diverse group of participants, including youth workers, educators, volunteers, and young leaders, all eager to explore innovative approaches to non-formal education and active youth participation.
The session began with a comprehensive presentation outlining the All on Board project’s overall objectives and achievements. This included a review of the learning mobilities that had taken place across the partner countries, as well as an overview of the research findings generated during the earlier phases of the project. These insights provided valuable context and laid the groundwork for the thematic focus of the training.
A key aspect of the session was the introduction of a variety of non-formal educational tools and methods. Participants were introduced to interactive techniques that promote engagement, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Through guided activities, discussions, and shared experiences, attendees were able to explore how these tools can be adapted and implemented within their own local contexts.

In addition, the training placed strong emphasis on the concept of active participation—a cornerstone of democratic youth work. Facilitators encouraged reflection on the meaning and importance of active participation, both at the individual and community level. Participants were invited to consider how they could further promote inclusivity, youth empowerment, and civic involvement through their work.
One of the highlights of the training was the open exchange of good practices between organizations from different countries. Each partner had the opportunity to share successful examples from their work with young people, offering inspiration and practical ideas that others could replicate or adapt. This cross-cultural exchange not only enriched the learning experience but also strengthened the network of youth professionals working toward common goals.
Overall, the online training was a meaningful and productive milestone in the All on Board project. It demonstrated the potential of digital platforms to facilitate impactful learning, connection, and collaboration across borders. Moreover, it reaffirmed the project’s commitment to fostering innovation, inclusivity, and active engagement in youth work through non-formal education.
