E.G.A.R. (Emotional, Gender, Awareness, Revenge)

The project Emotional Education, Gender-Based Violence Awareness, and Revenge Porn Contrast (EGAR) is an Erasmus+ KA210-VET initiative aimed at strengthening the capacity of VET professionals to prevent and address gender-based violence (GBV) and revenge porn among adolescents. The project is implemented by Sciaraprogetti APS (Italy, coordinator), PRAXIS (Greece), and the University of Seville (Spain). EGAR contributes to Erasmus+ priorities in VET innovation, digital transformation, and social inclusion by developing evidence-based tools, training pathways, and digital resources for professionals working with young people. The main goal of the project is to empower professionals working with young people to prevent and respond effectively to gender-based violence and digital violence. Particular attention is given to the non-consensual sharing of intimate or sexually explicit content, commonly referred to as revenge porn. The project primarily targets teachers working with students aged between 13 and 17, psychologists, youth educators and professionals responsible for coordinating responses to gender-based violence. Through its activities, the project aims to increase professionals’ knowledge of gender-based and digital violence, strengthen emotional intelligence, and promote effective approaches to emotional, sexual and digital education. Another important objective is the development of an accessible digital support tool in the form of a mobile application.
