“Break, Take, Make” TC, on January in Cantabria, Spain

As someone who has been involved in youth work for many years, taking part in the “Break Take Make” training course in Cantabria was a truly enriching experience. Even though I already had experience as a mentor, this training gave me new tools, perspectives, and inspiration on how to support young people in developing ideas with real social impact. The focus on impact entrepreneurship, sustainability, and design thinking helped me reflect on how we can create more inclusive and sustainable communities through education and youth participation. What I appreciated most was the practical approach of the training. It was not only about learning concepts, but also about applying them, exchanging experiences, and working together with people from different backgrounds. Last but not least, the spirituality of this whole place gave me inspiration and strength to continue to grow and help other people do so. I feel so lucky also about sharing these days with this special and spiritual person, Ernesto. I left Cantabria feeling more motivated and better equipped to bring these ideas back to my organisation and to the young people I work with adn to design the future with more hope and passion.

Before joining this training course, I felt a bit lost in my life. I knew I wanted to learn, meet new people, and discover new opportunities, but I was not sure what direction I wanted to follow. This experience helped me step out of my comfort zone and see things from a different perspective. Through the training and little things we do every day, I learned more about impact and sustainability, and how creative thinking can be used to solve real problems in our communities. The design thinking activities were especially useful because they helped me understand that ideas can become actions when we work step by step and collaborate with others. For me, this project was not only about learning. It was also about travelling, connecting with people from different countries, and realizing that I have more possibilities than I thought. I came back with new friendships and motivation to continue exploring my path.
