The CURAE project in general
The CURAE project aims to promote and transmit local craftsmanship by organizing meetings with craftsmen that provide participants with local knowledge and experience, while encouraging employability and training in the field ! … and in France
Yet another CURAE training course is going to happen, taking place in Marseille, France ! This time the focus is on communication and marketing, as it is a key element for artisans to promote and sell their products and their story, while ensuring understanding and attractiveness !
Participants
We are looking for participants over 18 years old who are willing to join, learn, work and share on this topic. People that are interested in craftsmanship, or are linked professionally or personally to the main theme. We are looking for 5 participants per partner country/organization that are already involved with it (meaning that a formal link contract must be signed before, during or after the project). A good level of English is required in order to participate in the training course.
Duration
The training course is going to last 7 days, from May, 14th to May, 20th :
- 14/05 : Arrival day (check-in to the hotel available from 3pm)
- 15/05 to 19/05 : Training and activity days
- 20/05 : Departure day( check-out until 11am)
Content
- What are my skills ?
- How to communicate and promote them ?
- How do I define myself ?
- How do body language and posture matter in communication ?
- How to tell a story and make sure others listen to it ?
- How to use (digital) marketing and communications to promote my story and my products ?
ACCOMODATION & MEALS
Breakfast and dinner will be provided at the hotel. Lunch will be provided either at the hotel or in other areas, depending on the program of the training course designed for you! Participants are going to stay in a hotel located in the heart of Marseille : 10 minutes walking from the train station, Saint Charles, and 10 minutes from the harbour “Vieux-Port” ! Participants will be hosted in multi-bed rooms, sharing a bathroom per room (4-5 people). In addition, the hotel offers extra spaces and services (outside area, free wifi, lounge, bar, game place etc).
The dinner on the day of the arrival and the breakfast on the departure day will be included, too.

Arriving to Marseille
- You can come to Marseille in many ways :
- Long distance buses to Marseille (Flixbus or Blablabus),
- Train to Marseille (tickets to be bought here : SNCF connect),
- Plane to “Marseille Provence Airport”
From the airport to the train station:
- From the airport someone can take the bus L091, which starts from the airport and has the train station of “Marseille St Charles” as its destination. It has busses every 10 to 15 minutes and the journey lasts 25/30 minutes.
- Tickets can be bought directly outside the airport, near the bus station. It costs 10 euros one way (or 7 euros for people under 25 years old) or 16 euros both ways !
From the train station to the hotel:
The hotel is located 10 minutes walking from the train station.
