My experience in Praxis: 6 months into the project!

More than halfway through the project, it’s time for a little retrospective. For more than 5 months now, we’ve been living and working there, in Serres. And I think we can all agree, as volunteers, that this experience will stay with us forever.
September and October started off a flying start. We volunteered on several festivals and started discovering our tasks in Praxis as we worked on our very first campaigns for the International Days. I think these first months were the most challenging, as everything was new to us. In addition we were introduced to the radio station and it seemed scary at first. However, it is now my favourite task there in Praxis and the one where I’m feeling the most free to express myself.

More globally, I felt a big positive change in the way I’m working, both alone and within a team. If I compare myself to the person I was back in September, I couldn’t imagine at the time that I would achieve such goals in this short amount of time.
Thus, I’m grateful for this opportunity to challenge myself and to grow. These skills that I learnt and/or deepened will be a godsend for me when I enter higher education. And we still have much more to see and explore until June!
