Workshop for the Trainig Course “Break, Take, Make”
Τhe Break–Take–Make workshop was organised within the framework of the Erasmus+ Training Course “Break–Take–Make”, held in Cantabria, Spain a few weeks ago. Looking back, it was an experience that felt both inspiring and genuinely unforgettable for everyone involved.
Right from the start, the workshop managed to build a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where participants felt comfortable sharing ideas and interacting with one another. The main theme of critical thinking was explored through creative, experiential activities that encouraged active participation rather than passive observation. Instead of simply discussing concepts in theory, we were invited to put them into practice through collaboration, reflection, and dialogue. At the same time, the strong focus on empathy and inclusion helped create meaningful bonds among participants and made the whole experience feel even more authentic.
One of the most rewarding elements of the workshop was the way it encouraged personal growth. Throughout the activities-exercises, participants were challenged to move beyond familiar boundaries, communicate openly, and engage with viewpoints that differed from their own. Although working closely with strangers initially felt unfamiliar and demanding, it soon became one of the most enriching parts of the journey.
Through group tasks, role-based activities, and the creation of individual and collective personas, participants discovered how essential trust, cooperation, and effective communication are when working towards a common objective. Based on the feedback shared afterwards, many participants felt they had strengthened their analytical thinking, improved their ability to empathise, and become more receptive to different opinions and experiences. More importantly, they learned to examine situations with greater understanding and from multiple perspectives.
What made this workshop stand out was that it went far beyond traditional learning. It was not only about gaining knowledge, but also about developing awareness, emotional intelligence, and stronger interpersonal connections. Through the activities, participants recognised the importance of teamwork, inclusivity, and mutual respect. They also reflected on how easily individuals can feel excluded or isolated, and how important it is to actively create environments where everyone feels accepted and valued.
By the end of the workshop, the dynamic of the group had completely transformed. What began as a gathering of unfamiliar individuals gradually evolved into a close and supportive community. The final group presentations and discussions offered the opportunity to reflect collectively on the experience, exchange ideas, and celebrate everything that had been learned throughout the process.
Overall, this was far more than a simple educational workshop. It was a transformative experience that encouraged personal development, strengthened valuable skills, and offered lasting lessons that participants will carry with them long after the project’s completion. Experiences like this have the power to truly influence the way people think, communicate, and connect with others.
